In this piece, I chose to use my project on environmental justice focusing on the biodiversity of the oceans. Here, I explored the use of ballast technology and its impact on marine biodiversity. I used ballast technology to demonstrate the implications of technological change throughout the shipping industry. It delves into the changing regulations and ethical/moral standings of the current time, and what that means for future humanity. This project shows that looking at past events can help solve future problems through analytical thinking.

In this proposal, we negotiated the viewpoint of a technoethics commission advocating for responsible and ethical approaches to mind uploading technology. It discusses various aspects related to ownership, information management, labor rights, liability, and military service for disembodied minds, aiming to initiate a conversation on the ethical implications of this emerging technology. This final report taught me teamwork and how to negotiate with classmates with multiple different moral and ethical views.
Here, I created an HTML site for veteran service members in Snohomish County to further assist them with their needs. I streamlined a process utilizing county links from the state, VA links, and non-profit sites. This endeavor helped others find resources at an accelerated pace. I utilized skills that I learned throughout school and on my own.

In these projects, I demonstrated GET requests by utilizing the Google search engine to recreate my own. This taught me the process of how requests are queried through the World Wide Web (WWW).

Here, I demonstrated organizational and communication skills while efficiently coordinating logistics and effectively engaging with family members. Time management, budgeting, and prior event planning experience contributed to a smoothly run reunion. The utilization of Google services, accompanied by my tech savviness and leadership, was evident in accommodating preferences and using event management tools. My attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and creativity enhanced the overall success of the family reunion.
Student Veterans Association
In establishing the Student Veteran Association's file folder organization for UWB, I showcased exemplary organizational skills by efficiently categorizing and labeling documents, ensuring easy access and retrieval for various administrative, financial, and event-related materials. My attention to detail was evident in accurately organizing paperwork, facilitating smooth record-keeping and streamlined processes. Strong communication skills played a vital role in collaborating with fellow student veterans and university staff, explaining the folder structure and encouraging adherence to the system. My ability to implement an effective file organization system ultimately contributed to the association's efficiency, fostering a conducive environment for student veterans to thrive academically and socially.
Leather Work
Leatherworking is a craft that showcases a diverse set of skills, encompassing both artistic flair and technical expertise. With fine motor skills and precise hand-eye coordination, I cut, shape, and manipulate leather with accuracy and finesse. Patience is a key virtue as I meticulously work through intricate designs and labor-intensive tasks. Adaptability and problem-solving skills come into play when faced with challenging projects, allowing me to find innovative solutions to achieve my creative vision. The craft also calls for a keen eye for aesthetics and design principles, ensuring the final products are not only functional but also visually appealing.
